Phew! The last day of the year and I was asked to make poached eggs from Smitten Kitchen's recipe.
Huxley paged through my breakfast-baked goods recipe binder and found the egg recipe that I've been wanting to make for too long. He ignored the granola muffins and chocolate waffles.
His was a bit of a bust (but he neither complained nor refused to eat it), the yolk broke and it wasn't runny. The second poaching was perfect! The final poached egg turned egg shaped in the nearly boiling water! Huzzah to a resolution for 2012 that was accomplished right under the wire.
Whose to say what 2013 will hold. Besides more poached egg success... To be continued next year.
