skiing is close

The summer heatwaves were in July while we were remodeling and they haven't returned. I can't help but look ahead to skiing - plenty of biking and hiking to do still, but I'm praying we have another awesomely snowy winter.

The XC ski pants I've been eyeing for the past six months are half the price they were in March. Down from $100 to $49! After years of using second hand equipment (and waterproof trousers I bought about 20 years ago), we know we'll be sticking with crosscountry skiing for the long haul. New England in winter is fabulous when you get seek out nature's corners on skis or snowshoes. These ski pants will work for my bike ride to work until snow and/or ice makes it impossible.
