gnomes

Remember the gnome book from 1977?

The lads and I have been making 'Gnome Homes' starting in early November whenever we went out on a hike.  When we would break for our picnic, they'd begin to look around for the perfect Gnome Home location and use the appropriate local resources.  Pine cones if we were amongst the conifers; acorns if there were oaks above us; and there's always bark on the forest floor.

After having a gnome talk during my post-dinner walk with Huxley last night, I remembered how gorgeous this book is to read.  He loves nature guides and this book will bridge the gap between the magical gnome world and the magical natural world.
